Sturgis Rally 2027

The 87th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally runs August 6-15, 2027. Make Ride N Rest your home base: ride out by day, roll back to camp at night.

Why riders stay here

  • Close to town: on Highway 79, about a mile north of Highway 34, just outside downtown Sturgis.
  • Free shuttle: to the Buffalo Chip, Full Throttle and downtown Sturgis (Dakotamart stop).
  • Food and drinks at camp: breakfast and steak dinners every day, and a bar open until 2 a.m.
  • Clean up: a 24-hour shower house and coin laundry.
  • Every kind of stay: 74 cabins, 63 full-hookup RV sites, dry camping and tent camping.

Getting to our gate

We're on State Highway 79 on the north side of Sturgis, about a mile up from where Highway 79 meets Highway 34. Coming off I-90, take a Sturgis exit and work your way to Highway 79 heading north. Watch for our sign.

During the rally, Main Street and the blocks around it fill with parked bikes, vendors and foot traffic. If you're pulling a trailer or driving an RV, plan a route around downtown rather than through it.

Rally week questions

When is the 2027 Sturgis Rally?

The 87th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally runs August 6-15, 2027. Our reservations for rally 2027 are open now.

How far ahead should I reserve for rally week?

As early as you can. Sturgis fills up, and our cabins are limited, so they go first. Tent and dry camping have more room, but we'd rather hear from you months ahead than days ahead.

Is there a shuttle into Sturgis and to the Buffalo Chip?

Yes. Our shuttle is free for guests and makes three stops: the Buffalo Chip, Full Throttle, and downtown Sturgis (pick-up and drop-off at the Dakotamart). It is first come, first served: the driver's phone number is posted inside The Barn, so call to schedule your ride and pick-up.

Can I move my RV during the rally?

No. RVs, trucks, rigs and trailers stay parked once the rally starts. Use the water fill station and the dump station at check-in and check-out. The dump station is free.

How much does it cost to stay during the rally?

For the full 10-day rally (August 6-15, 2027): a full-hookup RV site is $1,000 and an electric-and-water site is $850, for 2 people. A Deluxe Cabin is $1,250 for 2 people and an Old West Cabin is $1,800 for 4. Tent camping is $250 per person, or $30 a day. Each guest needs a Ride N Rest wristband. Prices include 2 people (4 in an Old West Cabin); each extra guest's wristband is $250. Call us at 605-490-8292 for the Head Cabin and dry camping.

Where is Ride N Rest, and how far is it from downtown Sturgis?

We're at 20494 State Highway 79, about one mile north of Highway 34, just outside downtown Sturgis. That puts you minutes from Main Street and the rally, with Bear Butte and the roads north of town close by.
